    Investigative feature/Exclusive: Not only do Canadian mines in the Philippines degrade the environment and displace Indigenous communities, activists say, eco-defenders are targeted by the Philippine government for protesting them. Cross-border collaboration and winner of the Human Rights Press Awards 2021: Merit for Multimedia Reporting.

  • "Rape within the family: The Philippines' silent incest problem" (Rappler)

    Investigative/Exclusive: Incest rape happens far more often in the country than official data shows, but it remains to be an unspeakable secret within families. This piece won Honorable Mention for Reporting on Women's Issues at the Society of Publishers in Asia Awards in 2018.

  • "For Trafficking Victims Forced to Scam Others, the Nightmare Continues Even After Escape" (TIME)

    Feature: Across the world, Chinese syndicates are trafficking innocent people to countries like Myanmar and Cambodia to forcibly work in scam centres and rob people of their life savings. It’s an unbelievably brutal industry, a modern day slavery crisis, that has affected hundreds of thousands of people globally. This piece focuses on what happens to the tortured scammers after they escape the centres and return home.
